With the unprecedented growth of hospitality and tourism industry in China, it is important for everyone involved to stay connected. The travel trade media play an essential role in this aspect by conveying news, facilitating dialogue and also stimulating new thinking. A primary role of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management is to offer new perspectives for forward thinking executives by feeding research findings and other forms of expertise back to its principle support base-the hospitality and tourism industry. For this, the School organises Executive Development Programmes regularly for industry practitioners in Mainland China and also offers education programmes at BA, MSc and D.HTM levels.

随着中国酒店与旅游业史无前例地快速增长，每位与行业有关的人都必需与他人保持紧密联系。旅游业媒体在传递信-息、协助交流，激励新思维等方面发挥了重要的作用。香港理工大学酒店及旅游业管理学院的首要作用，就是为前瞻思维的行业管理人员提供新视角，并将研究发现以及其它形式的专业知识回馈给其重要支柱－酒店与旅游业。对此，我院经常为中国内地的行业人士举办管理人员培训班，还开设学士、硕士和酒店及旅游管理博士层次的教育课程。
